Megan Byrom

Megan Byrom is a freelance scenic painter, carpenter, and scenic designer currently based in Flagstaff Arizona. Megan is about to graduate with her MFA in Northern Arizona University’s Theatre Technology and Design program with an emphasis in Scenic Design and a minor in Studio Arts painting. Recent design credits include assistant set designing The Imaginary Invalid and charge artist for Lysistrata at Northern Arizona University’s Theatre Department.

As a theatre artist, Megan seeks to create and explore paths in telling a story through texture and sight. With an intense background in painting and theatre, Megan insures to use her skills to help uplift other styles and effort of other designers to help share concise and emotional stories across the world. Through the use of intersectionality as a woman entering into a predominantly male career field, Megan values empathy and creativity to help support all other artists’ work and technique to help make the stage more comfortable and accessible for all. Theatre relies on all, not one, as the art of theatre is the collaboration and shared experience of telling a story.
